Undies pair caught fully clothed

IT WAS short-lived freedom for two robbery suspects who fled the Gelang Patah police station in their underwear at 6.15am on Monday.
They were recaptured fully clothed at a premise in Kuala Sedili, a coastal town in Kota Tinggi at 2.45pm, Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said after the launching of Ops Selamat at Plaza Toll Skudai here.
Police are investigating two police officers, who were on duty, for negligence.
The two had bolted from their cell when a policeman opened its door to remove leftover food.
After pushing down the policeman, they managed to run past the police counter and jumped the fence at the back of the police station.
Iskandar Putri district police chief ACP Noor Hashim Mohamad earlier said the duo were arrested on June over several robbery cases.
