PETALING JAYA: Fugitive Low Taek Jho (pix) is said to be in Dubai and he wants to meet the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) there.
The prime suspect in the 1MDB case has indicated that he wants to cooperate with the authorities on the scandal that probably led to the collapse of the Barisan Nasional.
His lawyers are expected have a sit-down with MACC officials in Gulf emirate and discuss areas in which he can assist in the probe involving the siphoning of billions of ringgit from the state-owned entity, The Malaysian Insight reported today.
The portal said Low's lawyers confirmed that discussions had started with Malaysian authorities, but declined to say more.
1MDB investigators believe that he can identify where other assets, including expensive jewellery, have been hidden, it added.
