A night of appreciation & goodwill

TOURISM SELANGOR recently organised a breaking of fast media appreciation dinner – Majlis Iftar Setulus Kasih Ramadan – at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The event was held to strengthen and build better relationships between the media and Tourism Selangor, in addition to showing appreciation for the media’s role in promoting the state.
Tourism Selangor also took the opportunity to invite children from The National Autism Society of Malaysia (Nasom) for the event as part of its annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort this year which was aimed at raising awareness and providing support to children living within the autism spectrum.
Present at the event were Tourism Selangor general manager Noorul Ashikin Mohd Din with special guest culture and Malay heritage tourism exco committee chairman Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari.
Later, Abdul Rashid presented duit raya to the children from Nasom as well as a cheque worth RM1,000 to the society to help in its expenses.
The night of goodwill was made even more festive when the Malay Customs and Heritage Corporation Selangor (Padat) band kept the more than 150 guests entertained with its rendition of raya and Malay folk music.
