MEGA 90s boy band Boyzone will be performing in Malaysia for the first time on Aug 24 at the Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil, but the tour marking its 25th anniversary will be its last project together.
The band announced that its next – and last – album is dedicated to former member Stephen Gately who died in 2009, and that the 25th Anniversary World Tour will also be its final farewell to fans.
Though the four remaining members – Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch, and Keith Duffy – will be parting ways after the tour, they said they will remain close friends while supporting each other’s solo ventures.
The five Irish singing sensations dominated airwaves in the 90s with their string of romantic hits like Picture of You, Words, Baby Can I Hold You, and No Matter What.
Boyzone peaked with 18 top 10 hits in the Official UK Chart and six UK hit singles, cementing its position as one of the most successful boy bands to exist.

Despite breaking its fans’ hearts with its official split in 2000, it reunited for major gigs like the Back Again … No Matter What tour in 2009, the last five-member performance before Gately’s untimely death.
The Boyzone’s 25th Anniversary World Tour concert here is organised by Star Planet, and supported by Malaysia Major Events.
Tickets for the concert goes on sale at 11am this Friday, with a 10% early bird discount applicable to the first 1,000 tickets sold, limited to four discounted tickets per customer.
