KUALA LUMPUR: The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) takes all allegations made against the agency seriously and pledges its full cooperation with the Human Resource Ministry and relevant authorities.
In a statement issued here today, HRDF noted it was aware of the many allegations made on the social media on misappropriation of funds, with the same allegations appearing in the mainstream media, as well.
"Due to such allegations, a town hall meeting was called on June 7, whereby HRDF Registered Training Providers were invited to meet and voice their concerns directly with Human Resource Minister M. Kula Segaran.
"As a result, the minister's commitment was to set up an independent panel to look into matters raised as part of the efforts at promoting transparency and accountability," it said.
The statement said it would continue to adhere to the principles of good governance and wished to clarify its position, clear the allegations as well as encouraging comments to be sent to official channels for proper measures to be taken.
"We assure levy contributors that their funds are secure and they can continue to utilise their contribution for the upskilling, reskilling and multiskilling of their employees, apprentices and trainees," it added. — Bernama
