Slow moving traffic at several major highways - Plus

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic at several major highways was reported to be slow moving as more people begin to return from their home villages after the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration last Friday.
A PLUS Malaysia Berhad spokesman told Bernama, as at 1pm, traffic in both directions of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) was reported to be slow and under control.
He said there was an accident at Kilometre 68.7 involving two cars which resulted in slow-moving traffic from Pendang to the Gurun Rest and Recreation Area (R&R).
He added that traffic from Bukit Beruntung to Sungai Buaya and from Ipoh to Simpang Pulai was also slow as more vehicles entered the highway.
Apart from that, traffic was also reported to be slow moving from Sedenak to Simpang Renggam and an accident involving a heavy vehicle was reported at Kilometre 208 which affected traffic from Ayer Keroh to Simpang Ampat, Malacca.
Meanwhile, according to the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), traffic was reported to be smooth and under control from Kuantan to Bentong via East Coast Highway 1 (LPT1) while traffic at the East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2) was also smooth flowing from Kuala Terengganu to Kuantan including traffic at the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway from Bentong to Gombak.
