35 killed in road mishaps during Ops Selamat

PETALING JAYA: Thirty five lives were lost on the road in Selangor over the last 10 days due to accidents.
The Selangor Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department (JSPT) said there were 34 fatal crashes since Op Selamat 13/2018 kicked off on June 8.
"Of the fatalities, 21 were motorcyclists, nine were car drivers, two were lorry driver, one taxi driver and three pillion riders," Selangor JSPT chief Superintendent Azman Shari'at said today.
He said 37,689 summonses were issued to road users and a total of 4,327 road accidents were recorded during that period.
