PUTRAJAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) has lodged another report at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office here today against a member on alleged abuse of power and misappropriation of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Ramadan Bazaar lots.
Dr Muhammad Faiz Na'aman, who is Bersatu Youth Integrity Bureau chief, and the party's youth representatives, submitted the report.
Muhammad Faiz said the report was important so as to ascertain the real mastermind behind the scandal.
"We take it seriously when any member uses his or her political position to apply for a business tender on the basis of personal interests," he said at the MACC office.
"We hope the police and MACC can find the mastermind behind the case. Disciplinary action will be taken if our members are involved," he added.
PPBM Youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman had lodged a similar report on Monday with the MACC on the scandal.
It was reported that PPBM Youth Bukit Bintang division chief Mohd Noorhisyam Abd Karim, who was implicated in the scandal, had also lodged a police report earlier.
In the scandal, Noorhisyam allegedly used his political connections to secure and rent 80 bazaar lots for as high as RM5,000 but has denied taking money from the traders.
Bukit Bintang MP Fong Kui Lun had also acknowledged that he had issued a letter of support to Noorhisyam's application to set up stalls in the popular shopping area of Masjid India but with the intention to help traders who didn't have a licence to set up stalls.
DBKL's licensing director Anwar Mohd Zain was reported to have said that he had initially refused Noorhisyam's application but reversed his decision after receiving Fong's letter of support.
