Couple, daughter die in Gua Musang road accident

GUA MUSANG: A couple and their daughter were killed and four other people were injured in a head-on collision between two cars at KM55 of Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai here yesterday, according to the police.
Gua Musang District Police chief Supt Mohd Taufik Maidin said today Ibrahim Mat Rifin, 61, his wife Mahani Mohd Nasir, 58, and their daughter Rosinani, 35, died in the accident which occurred at 5pm near the Kesedar Paloh 1 Land Development Scheme.
Another daughter, Nur Farain, 26, who was driving their Proton Saga car, was injured, along with the driver of a Proton Wira car, Mohamad Faris Junuh, 22, and his two passengers, Muhamad Nurazman Nordin, 19, and Mohamad Izaman Mohd Zulkifli, 21, he said to reporters.
Ibrahim and Mahani died on the spot while Rosinani died at the Gua Musang Hospital at 5.15am today, he said, adding that the family hailed from the Semambu Industrial Area in Kuantan, Pahang.
Mohd Taufik said the bodies were sent to the Gua Musang Hospital and handed over to the family this morning for burial. — Bernama
