Four youths, including a juvenile, charged with murder of car wash worker

PETALING JAYA: A juvenile was among four accused who were charged at the magistrate's court today for the murder of a car wash worker earlier this month.
D. Pavidthren, 19, Mohamad Sharul Nizam Abdullah, 18, M. Viknesh, 19, and their friend, the juvenile, nodded that they understood the charges that were read out in front of magistrate Mabel S. Muttiah.
No plea was recorded by the four unemployed as the case will be heard at a higher court.
According to the charge, along with two more accused who are still at large, together they were accused of murdering S. Ravindran, 22, at Jalan PJS 2B/3, Metro Square, PJS2 on June 6 between 11 to 11:30pm.
They were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder read together with Section 149 of the same Code, which carries the mandatory death sentence.
Deputy public prosecutor Natasha Chin Le Jy did not offer bail as it was a non bailable offence.
The court did not offer bail for all four and fixed July 23 for the submission of forensic and chemistry reports.
