Smooth traffic flow on most major highways (Updated)

PETALING JAYA: Traffic along some of the main highways nationwide was moving at a snail's pace as city folk started to return home after the Hari Raya holidays.
According to posts on Twitter by PLUS and the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), a number of accidents were reported which contributed to the slow-moving traffic.
PLUS, the concessionaire for the North-South Expressway, reported a burning car on the Penang Bridge at Km 0.2 from Perai to Penang at 11.27am, which led to traffic building up on the bridge.
An accident at 11.56am that occurred between Sungai Dua and Juru at Km 131 also led to slow-moving traffic.
The traffic flow from Changkat Jering towards Kuala Kangsar was slow for four kilometres because of a stalled truck at KM230.3.
Meanwhile, LLM reported that traffic was smooth from Kuantan to Bentong via the East Coast Expressway 1 (LPT1) and on the East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2) from Kuala Terengganu to Kuantan.
Traffic along the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway (KLK), especially from Bentong towards Gombak was reportedly smooth as well.
