FTAS to hand over NCR land declaration to Uggah

KUCHING: The Sarawak Native Customary Rights (NCR) Land Forum will hand over a declaration on Sarawak NCR land to Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas (pix) at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia in Petra Jaya here tomorrow.
Forum coordinator Michael M. Jok said the decision to present the declaration directly to Uggah's office tomorrow at 9am was because their request for a meeting with him previously was not being entertained by the Deputy Chief Minister's Office.
"Upon handing over the declaration, we will hold a media conference," he said here today.
He said he would continue to fight for the rights of NCR landowners in the state.
"We also hope and pray that the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly members will made a fair and correct amendment in accordance to the customs of the indigenous people in Sarawak," he added. — Bernama
