Temporary lane closure at Karak highway

KUALA LUMPUR: Two of the three lanes at Km33.5 of the Karak Highway (Kuala Lumpur-bound) will be temporarily closed to traffic beginning 6am today to facilitate removal of a bus which was involved in an accident.
Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Azman Shari'at said the process would take up to four hours.
"As such, only one lane will be opened," he said in a statement here today.
A woman was killed while 10 others were injured when the bus they were travelling in from Jerantut, Pahang to Shah Alam, Selangor overturned at the highway at 6.30pm.
The bus, with 40 passengers and a driver, was believed to have skidded and hit the road divider before overturning. — Bernama
