Wanita Gerakan questions priorities of PH govt

IPOH: Wanita Gerakan wants the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government to form the Cabinet instead of exposing wrongdoings of the former BN administration.
Its head, Datuk Tan Lian Hoe, said this does not mean that the abuse of power is to be condoned, however she said the government must be able to operate with a full Cabinet.
"Along the way they can take action but we need a full Cabinet to operate the government administration," she told reporters after attending the Pusat Activity Warga Emas UTC (PAWE) Aidilfitri and Parents Day celebration, here today.
Tan said the rakyat are in the dark over the delays in announcing the full Cabinet.
"They deny that there is internal problems, but why it is taking so long to form the Cabinet?
"Do not take the rakyat for a ride, the delay will affect investment, there will be a loss of confidence in the government," she added.
On the future of Gerakan, Tan said party elections would commence from next month.
She said polls for the branch and division levels would be held in August, state level in September and October, while the national delegates conference would be held in November.
"In the run up to the elections, the emphasis must be on unity in the party and not create factions.
"This was one of the reasons we lost in the general election. It is time to revive and strengthen the party.
"The rakyat supports us, but they want a change and voted for PH," she added.
