PETALING JAYA: The submission deadline for this year JCI Malaysia Sustainable Development Award (JCIM SDA) is fast approaching, with the deadline being this Saturday.
JCIM SDA organising chairperson Mikasa Chong said so far they had received at least 20 nominations for 17 accolades up for grabs.
"We expect there will be more submissions when the deadline draws nearer, probably during the last three days like on Thursday the submissions will peak," Chong said to theSun.
She added that the purpose of the award is to raise public awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) and inspire a new generation to advance the global goals.
The award recognises the sustainable projects conducted by Malaysian companies and organisations which advanced any of the UNSDG.
"Winners will be selected from the pool of shortlisted 40 projects and each winner will receive a customised trophy and certificate during our award ceremony on Sept 8.
"Apart from trophy and certificate, the winners or finalists will also receive invitations to join any future JCI events as speakers or participants," she said.
To submit entries, go to http://www.jcimsda.com/nomination/
