(Video) Newborn in critical condition after being hurled from flat

KAJANG: A newborn boy is in critical condition after it was believed have been thrown from an upper floor of a building at the Hentian Kajang bus station here on Sunday.
The owner of a restaurant on the ground floor heard a loud thud while working at the kitchen before rushing out to check on the noise at about 5 pm.
He was stumped to find a newborn next to a heap of building materials.
The man quickly picked up the naked baby and wrapped him with a towel before heading to the Kajang Hospital.
Kajang deputy police chief Supt Mohd Sabri Abdullah said a foreign woman who was spotted by detectives at the hospital was arrested at about 11.30pm.
He said the woman who is warded at the same hospital was remanded for further investigations for child abandonment under Section 317 of the Penal Code.
Bystanders who witnessed the child being rescued by the restaurant owner captured the incident on video and posted it on Facebook on Sunday.
The footage showed a man carrying the child and surrounded by several frantic female foreign workers.
The man then steps into a workers' van with the baby and subsequently left for the Kajang Hospital.
It is believed that the child was hurled from the third floor of a shophouse.
