Former army personnel's sacrifices bring peace, prosperity: Perlis Raja Muda

PADANG BESAR: The sacrifices of former army personnel have allowed the country to enjoy peace and prosperity that must be appreciated continuously, said Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.
He said those veterans not only defended the sovereignty and security of the nation but sacrificed their 'lives' so that the nation could progress.
"Their sacrifices are undeniably huge despite having roles and responsibilities to be discharged professionally, with integrity and sincerity to achieve their mission," added Tuanku Syed Faizuddin.
He spoke during the Aidilfitri celebration of the Territorial Army 's Regiment 504 at its headquarter at the Bukit Keteri camp here last night.
Present were Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, Perlis state secretary Datuk Dr Syed Omar Sharifuddin Syed Ikhsan, 30th Brigade commander Brig Gen Hashim Aman Shah and Perlis federal and state departments heads.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also the Commander of Regiment 504, said every army personnel should keep themselves abreast of current developments including mastering technology related to their profession.
At the event, the Raja Muda also presented 'duit raya' to the children of the members of the Regiment who attended it. — Bernama
