Tabung Harapan reaches RM130, 917, 831.30

PETALING JAYA: Tabung Harapan Malaysia has amassed donations totalling RM130, 917, 831.30 as of 3pm today.
The fund was set up for Malaysians who want to express their national pride by helping to directly raise money towards settling the country's RM1 trillion debt.
Contributions to the fund can be deposited into Maybank account number 566010626452, and collections for the fund will end on Aug 31.
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had announced the setting up of the fund for the public to donate, in light of the revelation that the national debt had surpassed the trillion ringgit mark.
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng had also said that the fund would be managed systematically and transparently by his ministry.
