KJ accepts defeat in presidential race with open heart

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Umno youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said he accepted the decision made at today's party elections.
"I accept the decision made with an open heart. God willing, the new Umno leadership can return the rakyat's confidence to our party," the Rembau MP tweeted from his official account.
He also urged the new leadership to revamp itself in order to prove that Umno could change for the better.
Khairy was one of the candidates for the presidential post.
Earlier, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi garnered enough support from the 191 Umno divisions nationwide who voted today to choose the party's leadership.
