Boy not forced to consume weedkiller, say police

IPOH: The 15-year-old boy, who claimed he was forced to consume weedkiller by a bully at school, has changed his story.
He admitted he drank it on his own accord after finding a bottle of the substance in his school's toilet.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Ali Tamby was today reported as saying the boy's statement was doubtful and the investigating officer questioned him again on May 30 where he confessed that no one forced him to drink the weed killer.
He said the boy did not have family or personal issues and did not have any enemies in school either.
"The case is being investigated under Section 309 of the Penal Code for attempted suicide. The boy was admitted to the hospital and is in stable condition," he added.
