MACC to question Riza Aziz tomorrow (Updated)

PETALING JAYA: Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak's stepson Riza Aziz (pix) is next in line for questioning by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over his alleged involvement in the financial scandal of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Sources close to the 1MDB probe when contacted by theSun today confirmed that the 48-year-old movie producer and co-founder of Los Angeles-based film production company Red Granite Pictures was issued a notice to show up for questioning at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya early on Tuesday.
Riza, who is Rosmah Mansor's son from her first marriage was in the centre of controversy when he was implicated by the US Department of Justice for allegedly siphoning hundreds of millions of ringgit to fund the steamy Hollywood movie The Wolf of Wall Street and two other films.
It was reported that the producer who is a close friend of fugitive Low Taek Jho, the No 1 person-of-interest in the 1MDB probe had agreed to pay the US government US$60 million (RM243 million) to settle a civil lawsuit that sought to seize assets allegedly bought with money stolen from a Malaysian state fund.
