Woman fears 'ex-boyfriend' will expose nude photos

KUALA LUMPUR: A 20-year-old woman fears that nude photos of her that were sent to a former boyfriend will be exposed through social media.
Christine Ng said she came to know the man, known as "Sky", through Facebook six years ago when she was a teenager.
They had been introduced by a mutual friend.
Ng found "Sky" appealing then because he was "understanding and listened to my problems".
Their relationship took a different turn when he asked for nude photos of her.
"I did not think much of it," the student said in a press conference at MCA Public Services and Complaints Department today.
She claimed to have contemplated suicide when "Sky" demanded to meet her.
"I have never met him because he wanted to have sex with me," she said, adding that "Sky" would threaten to publish her photos when she attempted to break off their relationship.
She also alleged that he would threaten her that he would show the nude photos to her parents.
"My parents do not know anything about us," she said.
Ng said she ended her relationship with "Sky" in 2017 but he continued to harass her.
Concerned for her safety, she sought help from department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong.
Chong advised her to block all communications with "Sky" and lodge a police report which was done last month.
"I have often raised this issue and I urge everyone, especially women, to not easily be influenced. There are five cases which are similar to hers which have been recorded by my department," he said.
He also warned "Sky" that legal action will be taken if he continued to threaten the victim.
