BSL Corp files judicial review against MoF, Customs

    PETALING JAYA: BSL Corp Bhd confirmed that its subsidiary has filed an application for judicial review against the Ministry of Finance and Royal Malaysian Customs Department, after its second appeal for the remission of import duty and sales tax was rejected last April.
    An application for a stay order had been filed concurrently, it told the stock exchange today.
    However, BSL said the court has not fixed any hearing date yet at the moment.
    The company will make further announcement if there is any material update on the above said matter, it added.
    In 2014, the company's wholly-owned subsidiary Crestronics (M) Sdn Bhd received the bills of demand from the RMCS for the import duty and sales tax totalling RM11.13 million, applicable for the period from December 2011 to July 2014.
