Perdana Petroleum's share price rise 7.89% after obtaining assistance from CDRC

    PETALING JAYA: Perdana Petroleum Bhd’s share price rose 7.89% this morning after the group said it would obtain assistance from the central bank to mediate with debt holders.
    At 11.22am, its share price rose 7.89% or 1.5 sen to 20.5 sen with 5.66 million shares traded.
    Yesterday, the group said Bank Negara Malaysia’s Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee (CDRC) will mediate between Perdana Petroleum and some of its subsidiaries, with its financial institutions and sukuk holders.
    The approval letter was received on Monday and it is required to submit a proposed debt restructuring scheme within 60 days.
