England's Pickford had World Cup shoot-out notes on water bottle

A water bottle may have helped England end their World Cup penalty shoot-out misery. England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford's bottle contained notes on the preferred target target areas of Colombia's players during their last-16 penalty shoot-out, UK media reported on Thursday.
He reportedly received it from goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson and kept it wrapped in a towel during the break following extra-time on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old then saved Carlos Bacca's attempt and Erik Dier followed with the decider as England prevailed 4-3. Pickford said in a post-match interview that only Radamel Falcao placed his shot differently than expected. England's first-ever World Cup shoot-out victory earned them a quarter-finals date with Sweden on Saturday.
