GELANG PATAH: Police found the body of a man buried in a durian orchard in Kangkar Pulai on Thursday.
When contacted today, Iskandar Puteri police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Hashim Mohamad said a police team had rushed to the scene at 2.50pm after being alerted by villagers.
He said the body, which was clad in a red t-shirt and shorts, showed signs of decomposition.
Noor Hashim said police believe the man had died about one or two weeks ago, based on the condition of his body.
He said the estimated age of the victim was likely between 18 to 40 years old.
Cables used for car batteries were also found at the scene.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the suspect, with investigations classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
