Organisation integrity plan to combat corruption, abuse of power: Army Chief

PORT DICKSON: The Army Organisation Integrity Plan has been launched to combat any form of corruption, abuse of power and irregularities in the Malaysian Army organisation, said its chief General Tan Sri Zulkiple Kassim (pix) today.
He said this move was crucial towards upholding professionalism, commitment and excellence in the Army at all times.
"With this plan, we hope to curb undesirable symptoms in the organisation so that the good image of the army will not be tarnished and we will continue to gain people's trust.
"I hope all army personnel will be able to carry out their responsibilities well although there are some cases (concerning integrity), but the percentage is very small, not even up to one per cent," he told reporters after the Officer Cadet Commissioning Parade Series 185/2017 at here, today.
Also present were Deputy Chief of Army Lt General Datuk Seri Ahmad Hasbullah Mohd Nawawi and Field Commander Lt General Datuk Azizan Md Delin.
At the parade, 1,578 officer cadets received their letter of commission after successfully completing six-month training from Dec 9 last year that include character building, military knowledge, weapons handling, physical training and war fighting skills. — Bernama
