Strong winds, rough seas alert until Tuesday

KUALA LUMPUR: Strong Southwesterly wind of between 40 to 50kph and waves above 3.5 metres are expected in the waters of Phuket, Condore, Reef North and Palawan until Tuesday, July 10.
The Meteorology Department, in a statement here today said thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong winds over the waters of Bunguran, Reef South, Reef North, Layang-Layang and Palawan are expected until 1 am.
"This condition may cause strong winds up to 50 kmph and rough seas with waves of up to 3.5 metres, and is dangerous for small boats, recreational sea activities and water sports," it said. — Bernama
