ACER recently debuted six new devices in the Malaysian market under its gaming label, Predator, at Sunway Pyramid.
The showcase featured a range of products for the hardcore gamer, the casual, and everyone in between.

The lineup begins with the Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop. Designed to take up an overclockable Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, and powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i9 processor with 64GB of memory, the Predator Helios 500 offers a premium gaming experience.
It packs a 17.3in FHD IPS display that supports Nvidia G-sync technology with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Two built-in stereo speakers with subwoofer, Acer TrueHarmony technology, and Waves MaxxAudio sound technology make the Helios 500 an auditory powerhouse as well.
For cooling, the Predator Helios 500 sports a dual-fan system that features Acer’s proprietary AeroBladeTM 3D metal fans and five heat pipes.
With the preloaded PredatorSense application, gamers can monitor, control and customise overclocking, lighting, hotkeys, temperature and fan control on the Helios 500 from one central interface.
The Predator Helios 500 also connects wirelessly with Killer Doubleshot Pro Gigabit Internet connection, Bluetooth 5.0, and NVMe RAID 0 SSDs for unrivalled speed.
The Predator Helios 500 is available at all Acer Official Online Stores and authorised resellers nationwide.
The Predator Helios 500 comes in two options: the RM12,999 Intel Core i9-8950HK processor model with 32GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD (RAID 0), and 1TB HDD; or the RM8,999 Intel Core i7-8750H processor model with 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, and 1TB HDD.
For the mainstream market, Acer offers up the Nitro 5.
Powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB RAM, the Acer Nitro 5 is for gamers who use their laptops for everyday tasks as well.
The Acer Nitro 5 is equipped with a 16GB Intel Optane memory, paired with 1TB HDD storage.
Its 15.6in Full HD IPS display is paired with Dolby Audio and Acer TrueHarmony audio technology, perfect for movies and TV shows.
To keep it all cool, the laptop features Acer Coolboost technology, and the customisable NitroSense application.
The Acer Nitro 5 is currently available in Malaysia for RM3,999.
Gamers who prefer a desktop now have a more affordable option with the Predator Orion 5000.
Built on the popularity of the high-end Orion 9000, this new entry is engineered to take advantage of the 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 processor.
The PC also comes with 16GB DDR4, which is upgradable to 64GB, and is paired with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU.
Orion 5000 also features Acer’s IceTunnel 2.0 cooling system, and comes with a Predator USB Flare keyboard and mouse.
Available in mid-July at all Acer Official Online Stores and authorised resellers nationwide, the Predator Orion 5000 will be priced at RM7,899.
Acer did not forget the casual gamers either.
The Acer Nitro 50 Desktop is meant to be the affordable option for those who are looking for a PC powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor.
This power is coupled with 8GB of DDR4 RAM (which is upgradable to 64GB), and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics.
For storage, the Nitro 50 can take up to a 1TB HDD and a 128GB SSD.
Additionally, the optional wireless charging deck on top of the PC supports wireless charging for any Qi-enabled wireless device.
The Acer Nitro 50 is available at the end of July for RM4,239.
Apart from the desktops and laptops, Acer also launched the RM9,999, 27in Predator X27 gaming monitor, and the RM739 Predator Aethon 500 gaming keyboard.
The Predator X27 is capable of 4K resolution, is Nvidia G-Sync compatible, and touts Quantum Dot technology with 144Hx refresh rate.
