Cops probe Jamal under Immigration Act

SHAH ALAM: Police said they are investigating Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos under the Immigration Act after the Sungai Besar Umno chief fled the country when he was investigated for several offences.
Selangor police chief Commissioner Datuk Mazlan Mansor said the police had filed a report on the day Jamal was deported here.
"We subsequently probed him for exiting the country through illegal channels.
"We are looking into the Section 51 of the Immigration Act and this will be added to the other pending cases that he currently faces," he said.
