Gerik police want fatal accident's witnesses to come forward, facilitate probe

GERIK: Police want witnesses who saw the fatal accident involving a trailer and a Proton Saga car that caused the death of four people at KM59 Jalan Raya Timur Barat (JRTB) Gerik-Jeli to come forward to facilitate investigations.
Gerik District Police chief Supt Ismail Che Isa, in a statement, said witnesses needed to come to the Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Division of the Gerik IPD or contact the traffic investigating officer Insp Nasapira Mat Kar.
In the incident on Sunday, three out of four family members were killed in a road accident involving a car and a trailer laden with logs.
Those injured in the 4.30pm incident were the driver of the Proton Saga car, Mohd Nizam Suhaidin, 34; his wife Nurhafizah Ismail, 34, and their son Mohd Afiq, 6, as well as trailer driver Redzuan Abd Ghani, 59. — Bernama
