Road closure for national-level International Firefighters' Day parade rehearsals

SEREMBAN: Several major roads in the city will be closed from Friday to Saturday in conjunction with the national-level International Firefighters' Day 2018 rehearsals and parade at the Seremban Municipal Council (MPS) field here.
Seremban district police chief ACP Thiew Hock Poh said the closure would involve Jalan Yam Tuan, Jalan Berhala, Jalan Stesen, Jalan Datuk Sheikh Ahmad, Jalan Lim Kee Siong, Jalan Datuk Hamzah and Lorong Khalsa.
"These roads will be closed from 7 am to noon. Motorists who wish to enter the city area on those dates are advised to take alternative routes, namely Jalan Tuanku Antah, Jalan Sungai Ujong, Jalan Datuk Bandar Tunggal, Jalan Tun Dr Ismail, Jalan Tunku Hassan, Jalan Datuk Malek, Jalan Leftenan Adnan, Jalan Kebun Bunga, Jalan Haji Said and Jalan Zaaba.
"Meanwhile, the alternative to Seremban outskirt roads are Jalan Lingkaran Tengah, Jalan Seremban-Tampin, Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah, Jalan Pantai-Jelebu and Jalan Rasah," he said in a statement here today.
Thiew said Kuala Lumpur and northbound motorists travelling from Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Tampin and Malacca could use the Kajang-Seremban Highway (Lekas) or North-South Expressway (Plus) as alternative.
In addition, those heading for Malacca or south from Nilai, Mantin, Sepang, Kajang and Kuala Lumpur could also use both the highways, he said. — Bernama
