Pacman and Matthysse ready to rumble in KL

PETALING JAYA: Eight-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines is in fighting mood for the biggest boxing match in Kuala Lumpur since Muhammad Ali beat Joe Bugner world heavyweight title bout at Stadium Merdeka in 1975.
Pacquiao, also known as Pacman, declared himself ready for Sunday's WBA welterweight title fight against Lucas Matthysse at the Axiata Arena.
"I'm feeling good," said Pacquiao, who is also known as Pacman. "My mind is focused on the fight and winning the fight."
Matthysse is confident of keeping the title he won from an eight-round TKO win over Thailand's Tewa Kiram last January.
"I feel 100% sure that I will succeed in this fight. I trained very hard to defend my title in Malaysia," Matthysse said.
After his red carpet appearance, the Argentine headed to a makeshift gym within the hotel complex, where he had been training behind closed doors since arriving here last Thursday to acclimatise.
"I've already gotten used to the weather and time here. I'm in great condition, and I promise a great performance to the entire world," he added.
