Tun Zaki appointed pro-chancellor of USIM

NILAI: Former Chief Justice Tun Zaki Azmi has been appointed as the pro-chancellor of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) for a period of three years from July 15.
Zaki, a barrister-at-law from Lincoln's Inn, London, has extensive experience of 37 years in law and the Malaysian Judicial and Legal Services.
He is also the chancellor of the Multimedia University and Mahsa University, as well as the chairman of Universiti Malaysia Sabah's board of directors.
With his appointment, USIM now has two pro-chancellors, Zaki himself and Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibn Tuanku Muhriz, who is the Tunku Besar of Seri Menanti.
The inauguration of his appointment is expected to be held in November in conjunction with the 16th USIM convocation ceremony. — Bernama
