Mazli is new PDRM secretary

KUALA LUMPUR: Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) Land Operations chief of staff SAC Mazli Mazlan has been appointed as the new Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Secretary, effective Wednesday.
He takes over from Datuk Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf who will be the head of the Bukit Aman Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Secretariat Office.
In a statement, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun welcomed Mazli and expressed appreciation to Ramli for his service throughout his tenure as PDRM secretary.
"I urge all PDRM personnel to keep up the spirit of cooperation and understanding that we have been practising all these while for the sake of the force," he said.
The handing over of duties ceremony between Mazli and Ramli took place at the Bukit Aman federal police headquarters here yesterday, and witnessed by Mohamad Fuzi. — Bernama
