WCT shares jump 7.8% on new TRX job

PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd's shares jumped 7.8% or 6.5 sen this morning, after it bagged a two-year contract worth RM555 million to undertake the final construction works of the retail component of TRX Lifestyle Quarter.
At 11.45 am, the stock, which was among the top active counters, stood at 89.5 sen with 23.4 million shares changing hands. It has a market capitalisation of RM1.2 billion.
WCT told Bursa Malaysia Securities yesterday that its subsidiary WCT Bhd had received the contract from Lendlease Projects (M) Sdn Bhd, in which it is entitled to be paid up to a maximum of RM27.75 million for carrying out the preliminary works.
