BN MPs meekly follow PAS in walkout, says Kit Siang

PETALING JAYA: The Opposition walkout from Dewan Rakyat was initiated by PAS, with Barisan Nasional (BN) meekly following suit, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang said today.
Two Umno MPs, Khairy Jamaluddin and Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, refused to join in the walkout, but the sole MCA MP and two MIC MPs tamely followed PAS out, he said.
They were Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, Datuk M. Saravanan and Datuk Sivarraajh Chandran.
Lim also said the most significant matter is the seating arrangement for the BN MPs, which indicated that former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is still the most powerful force in Umno and BN although he is without title or position.
"Otherwise, Najib would not have higher precedence in the parliamentary seating arrangement than the newly elected/appointed Umno leaders like the Umno Vice-President Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, Umno Secretary-General Tan Sri Annuar Musa or senior Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Mustapha Mohamad," said Li, who is the Iskandar Puteri MP.
"This BN seating arrangement is very significant, for it means that none of the Umno, MCA and MIC MPs are prepared to act in a patriotic manner to break ranks."
