N. Sembilan KPDNHEP seizes 1,682 imitation goods

SEREMBAN: The Negri Sembilan branch of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) seized 1,682 imitation goods estimated to be worth RM39,816.20 after they raided 11 premises in Seremban and Senawang last Tuesday.
Its chief enforcement officer, Zubir Hamsa said among items seized were jerseys, trousers, T-shirts, shoes, slippers, caps and bags with fake Adidas, Reebok and Nike trademarks.
"We are looking for a suspect, in his 40s, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the distribution of these fake goods," he said here.
Zubir said the case was being investigated under Section 8(2)(c) of the Trade Descriptions Act 2011.
He also urged those with information on the sales of imitation items to contact the ministry at 06-6016500 or via email at e-aduan@kpdnkk.gov.my or the nearest KPDNHEP office.
