Scomi's share price fall 4.54% after unit gets slapped with winding-up petition

    PETALING JAYA: Scomi Group Bhd’s share price fell 4.54% this morning after its unit Scomi Special Vehicles Sdn Bhd was served with a winding-up petition.
    At 11.01am, its share price was 4.54% of half sen lower at 10.5 sen with 99,500 shares traded. Its shares closed unchanged at 11 sen with 5.95 million shares traded last Friday.
    Last Friday, Scomi said its unit was served with a winding-up petition over a RM1.09 million claim by Alexander Dennis (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (ADM) and Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL).
    The debt arose from bus bodies provided by ADM with support from ADL in the UK. Scomi noted that the debt had been progressively reduced under a consent order dated Nov 3, 2017.
