Salcon's share price rise 4.84% after bagging RM71m Sri Lanka job

    PETALING JAYA: Salcon Bhd’s share price rose 4.84% this morning after it secured a US$6.8 million (RM27.7 million) and 1.718 billion rupees (RM43.6 million) storm water pumping station contract in Sri Lanka.
    At 10.47am, its share price was 4.84% or 1.5 sen higher at 32.5 sen with 6.46 million shares traded.
    Yesterday, the group said that its wholly owned subsidiary Salcon Engineering Bhd received a letter of acceptance dated July 12 from the Ministry of Megapolis & Western Development, Sri Lanka, for the design and building of a storm water pumping station in Ambathale, Sri Lanka.
    The duration of the project is 21 months and it is expected to be completed in 2020.
