High Court to hear BN application to strike out election suit on Aug 16

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has set Aug 16 to hear an application by Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk C. Sivarraajh to strike out an election suit for Cameron Highlands.
The date was fixed by High Court (Appellate and Special Powers) Judge Datuk Azizah Nawawi in chambers today in the petition by DAP candidate M. Manogaran against Sivarraajh who won the seat.
The hearing will be from Sept 3 to 20.
Lawyer M. Rajenthirakumar represented Manogaran who filed the petition on June 5 to nullify the May 9 results where BN's MIC candidate Sivarraajh won the seat with 10,307 votes while Manogaran garnered 9,710 votes.
