Salcon bags RM9.95 million sewage treatment plant job

    PETALING JAYA: Salcon Bhd's unit Envitech Sdn Bhd has been awarded a RM9.95 million contract by Seriemas Development Sdn Bhd to design and construct a sewage treatment plant and carry out its associated works in Kuala Langat, Selangor.
    The job scope entails the design, obtaining approval, construction, completion, maintenance and handing over of a proposed 1st module sewage treatment plant (37,500 population equivalent (PE)) with an ultimate capacity of 150,000 PE (4 modules).
    The project is slated to go on for 15 months, commencing July 23, 2018, and is estimated to be completed on October 23 2019.
    "The award of this project is a measure of confidence the clients have in our wastewater subsidiary Envitech which has more than 30 years of strong track record and expertise in the design and construction of wastewater treatment plants and we are confident of carrying out the project to successful completion." said Salcon COO Ooi Cheng Swee.
    The current contract win and the recent RM71.3 million water contract brings the group's order book to RM1.44 billion.
    Salcon's share price closed unchanged at 31 sen with 2.59 million shares done.
