Police seize fake gun from robbery suspect

JOHOR BARU: Police arrested a suspected robber with a fake pistol at a house in Kempas about 11.45pm yesterday.
Johor Baru North police chief ACP Mohd Taib Ahmad said the 50-year-old man was also believed to have been involved in several break-ins and robberies.
He urged break-in and robbery victims to contact the nearest police station or telephone Johor Baru North police headquarters' hotline 07-5563122.
The fake pistol with the brand name of Python 357 was found wrapped in a towel in cabinet in the dining room.
The case is being investigated under Section 39 of the Firearms Act 1960.
