DAP: Ramasamy will answer LTTE support claim

PETALING JAYA: DAP will seek an explanation from Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P. Ramasamy on his alleged support for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) movement.
"It is better for Ramasamy to explain clearly to anyone that wants his explanation because he had taken part in a peace mission, not just in Sri Lanka but also in Aceh before joining politics," Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow was quoted by Sinar Harian as saying today.
He was responding to Perlis Mufti Datuk Mohd Asri Zainal Abidin's demand for DAP to state their position on Ramasamy.
Ramasamy said he had been involved in the peace mission between Colombo and the LTTE between 2003 and 2006. He denied being a supporter of LTTE.
