BRINGING the delight of Arab culture - encompassing food, grocery products and clothing - to Malaysia, Lulu Hypermarket and Department Store Kuala Lumpur launched its first "Arabian Fest" campaign.
There to officiate the start of the promotional campaign was Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Also present was Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, the celebrity chef better known as Chef Wan, in a "cooking corner" at the hypermarket.
"Today I observed the main areas in the hypermarket, from daily necessities to fish and vegetable produce, and the impression I got was that the strength of the hypermarket was in the pricing and quality of products sold," said Saifuddin.
Shoppers can look forward to great savings and unbeatable deals during the "Arabian fest" campaign will run until July 31. Its purpose - to spread awareness to local small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the huge potential marketing opportunities available in Middle Eastern countries.
During the event, the LuLu Reusable Bag was also introduced - an eco-friendly effort of the hypermarket and department store. Shoppers are encouraged to reduce their use of plastic bags, hence, these reusable bags are available for purchase at the Customer Service Counter on the ground floor at the outlet at Capital Square. Expansion plans are in the pipeline with 10 stores to open over the next five years.
