Eighty members and friends win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Philippines
A 4D/3N all-expenses-paid holiday to explore the mesmerising island of the Philippines was a like a dream come true for grand-prize winners of Watsons brand's Switch.Save.Win.Contest., which was supported by the Philippine Department of Tourism and Cebu Pacific.
The contest was said to have attracted some 70,000 entries; 300 who made it to the three-round competition at Paradigm Mall.
Of these, 40 winners and their partner/friend had the time of their lives - Philippines-bound, in the company of Watsons celebrity friends Arja Lee, Sasha Saidin, Thanuja Ananthan and Amber Chia.
On arriving in the Philippines, the entourage were welcomed to a dinner sponsored by Marco Polo Plaza Hotel Cebu, complete with a traditional Filipino cultural dance performance.
This was followed with a fun-filled itinerary over the next couple of days, which included a visit to one of the largest Watsons stores, at SM Seaside Mall, to shop for travel essentials and such.
Cebu had much to offer the Watsons "party" who were brought to some of the best tourist spots, including a guitar-making factory.
Oslob was not excluded from the exciting itinerary. In this province of Cebu, the group were thrilled to have the chance encounter with a whale shark while swimming.
In Bohol, the group were treated to a luncheon on-board a small "bancas" or floating restaurant, along the Loboc River Cruise expedition. They even had a chance to get up-close to a Bohol Tarsier.
The trip was not short of fun and laughter, and exclusive experiences, including the unique Chocolate Hills and mesmerising Kawasan Falls, plus many more interesting places, tourists hotspots and historical sites.
