Matta Fair Selangor Carnival 2018 starts tomorrow

PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents Selangor Chapter (Matta Selangor) announced today that the first edition of Matta Fair Selangor Carnival 2018 will begin tomorrow at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) in Serdang for the next three days until Jul 29.
"There is still some negativity about the area (MAEPS)" said Matta Selangor chapter chairman Datuk Wira Syed Abdul Rahman Al Habshi, reassuring that the location plays host to events daily and will easily accommodate the scale of the event.
Around 150 booths will be offering travel choices during the fair, with ample of parking spaces including tram rides from the car park to the hall as Matta Selangor anticipates a large turnout.
Special appearances at the fair will see both local and international celebrities and artists such as nasyid groups Rabbani and Raihan, Ustaz Don Danial, Ella, Aiman Tino and even Miss Universe Japan Yuumi Kato.
Other attractions will include lucky draws, an indoor carnival area for children, while food trucks and a bazaar will provide sustenance for visitors with the first 1,000 early bird visitors being given coupons for free meals.
"During the carnival, Firefly will offer three-day special deals exclusively for carnival visitors where there will be 20% discount off its base fares for Free Independent Traveller (FIT) bookings and 40% off from online base fares for group booking.
"On top of that, the airline is also giving away six flight tickets to Penang, Kota Baru and Johor Baru as prizes for the Buyers' Contest," Syed Abdul said.
Matta Fair Selangor Carnival 2018 is open from 10am to 9pm and admission is free.
