Perak targets 10 tonnes of durian a hectare by 2020

KUALA KANGSAR: The Perak Agriculture Department is targeting a yield of 10 tonnes of durian a hectare by 2020 as compared to six tonnes currently.
The state executive councillor responsible Abdul Yunus Jamahri (pix) said the target could be achieved by planting quality clones like D200 and D24 and modern planting techniques.
The Perak Agriculture Department would assist durian growers to increase their yields, he told reporters here today. — Bernama
