ACER Malaysia has unveiled seven series of products, ranging from desktops to laptops and tablets, in a launch event held recently in Kuala Lumpur.
The new range of products which includes the Veritons, TravelMates, and Chromebooks, are targeted at the commercial market.
Acer Veriton S, Veriton X and Veriton M Series
The Acer Veriton S, Veriton X, and Veriton M are three series of business desktops by Acer.
Designed to be flexible, powerful, and fast, the highest specification machine in the series is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ processor paired with the Intel Optane Technology.
All three series feature 2x2 802.11ac WiFi and Gigabit LAN, and support up to three independent displays through D-sub, HDMI, and Displayport.
Variants in the Veriton X and Veriton M series also offer USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 port, while options of the Acer Veriton S series and Veriton X series come with discrete graphics cards that can support up to five displays.
Highlights of the series, such as the Acer Veriton X6660G and M6660G, have up to four DIMMs that support up to 64GB of memory.
They also support Intel vPro technology which allows remote management and maintenance.
The Acer Veriton X2660G and Veriton S2660G, on the other hand, are powerful desktops with small form factors.
Acer Veriton S, Veriton X and Veriton M series are priced from RM1,999 onwards, and will be available for purchase in early August at Acer official online stores, and all Acer authorised resellers nationwide.
Acer TravelMate X3410 and P2 Series
Acer’s solution for a dependable business-class laptop comes in two series: the TravelMate X3410 and P2 Series.
Shipped with Windows 10 Pro, the highest-end systems in the two series run on the 8th Gen Intel Core i processors.
These laptops feature 32GB DDR4 memory, and up to 512GB SSD of storage.
On top of that, they are said to have up to 15 hours of battery life, and 2x2 MU-MIMO 802.11 ac wireless technology.
Of the two, the TravelMate X3410 is built to be the more premium of the two, with 32GB DDR4 memory and up to 512GB SSD storage.
The P2 Series, on the other hand, offers a broader selection of configurations.
The Acer TravelMate P2 series is available now, and priced from RM2,499 onwards, while the Acer TravelMate X series is priced at RM3,999 for the i5 model, and RM4,899 for the i7 model.
Both the Acer TravelMate X models will be available for purchase in September at Acer official online stores, and all Acer authorised resellers nationwide.
Acer Chromebook
There are four new devices to the Chromebook series – the Chromebook 11 laptop, two Chromebook Spin 11 convertibles, and a Chromebook Tab 10 tablet.
The Acer Chromebook 11 C732 is compliant with the MIL-STD 810F, which is the United States Military Standards testing guideline for durability, and intrusion protection.
Weighing just 1.26kg, the Acer Chromebook 11, the child-proof laptop has an 11.6in IPS display, two USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 ports, and is powered by an Intel Celeron Quad-Core Processor. It is priced at RM1,099.
For a more premium option, there is the Acer Chromebook Spin 11. The C6GV variant (RM1,699) comes with 8GB DDR4 memory coupled with 64GB eMMC storage, while the C9K5 variant (RM1,399) comes with 4GB DDR4 memory and 32GB eMMC storage.
Featuring the Acer patented 360° dual-torque hinge design, the Chromebook Spin 11 has an 11.6in HD IPS display with 1,366x768 resolution. Each device is also bundled with a Wacom EMR stylus.
Meanwhile, the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 is touted as the first education tablet running Chrome OS.
Inside the device is an OP1 processor that integrates dual-core Cortex-A72 with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
Its display is a 9.7in QXGA IPS touch display capable of 2048x1536 resolution.
Available now for RM1,299, the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 comes in cobalt blue.
Acer Chromebox CXI3
Lastly, the Acer Chromebox CXI3 is a compact Chrome OS PC made for businesses. With an Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB of DDR4 memory and 64GB of SSD storage, the CXI3 is made to be fast and lean.
The CXI3 is so compact that it is compatible with the Vesa mount, which means it could be mounted directly onto a display. It is priced at RM1,999.
