Johan Abdullah quits Malakoff after leaving Lembaga Tabung Haji

    PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Johan Abdullah has resigned from his post as a non-independent and non-executive director of Malakoff Corp Bhd following his departure from Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH).
    Malakoff said that Johan, 61, joined the board in May 2017 as LTH's nominee.
    Johan’s two-year stint as group managing director and CEO of LTH ended after his contract expired on June 30. He was deputy group managing director and CEO of LTH before that.
    Johan has served in various companies including Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd’s Listing Division, Bumiputra Merchant Bankers Bhd’s Corporate Finance division in 1989 and Damansara Realty Bhd’s General Manager, Corporate Planning in 1995.
    He rejoined Bursa Malaysia in 1999 and took up various senior positions, including that of Deputy Chief Regulatory Officer, Group Regulation.
    Johan later joined BIMB Holdings Bhd as the managing director and CEO in May 2008 and served the group for more than six years.
